Where Is Srithanu Beach?
Srithanu Beach, not surprisingly, is in Srithanu Koh Phangan which is located just south of the more popular Haad Yao area. This scenic stretch of sand is part of a beautiful coastline dotted with tranquil beaches which you must explore when you visit the island. The west coast of Koh Phangan is known for its breathtaking sunsets, calm waters, and a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the island’s party hubs, making it the perfect spot for families.
How To Get To Srithanu Koh Phangan?
Easily accessible by scooter or taxi, Srithanu is a short drive from Thong Sala, the island’s main town and ferry port. To get to Srithanu Beach you have a couple of options. The first way and the way we went is to walk from Zen Beach. At low tide you can easily walk around a small outcrop of rocks, just make sure to return before high tide! We climbed over the rocks to get back just in time!
Alternatively, you could head straight to Srithanu Beach with your scooter or taxi. Park your scooter at the parking lot right before the sign for Phangan Cove Resort. Follow the walkway over the old wooden bridge, if you follow this walkway you will end up on the far northern Edge of the beach.

How Much Does Srithanu Beach Cost?
When we walked from the neighbouring Zen Beach to Srithanu we didn’t have to pay a fee. After some research online it seems there may be a 20 baht parking fee in some areas for this beach.
What To Expect At Srithanu Beach
Srithanu Beach is a peaceful stretch of golden sand that is less busy than other spots on the island. It has a strong low tide but is still a good place for swimming and wading allowing you to cool off from the sometimes overwhelming heat of Thailand.
The beach has a more local feel, this may be because it attracts a mix of travellers, yogis, and long-term island residents who come to enjoy its laid-back vibe. It is next to Zen Beach, a more popular and famous place for parties and even has a nudist section, even though nudism is illegal in Thailand.
The beachfront of Srithanu isn’t packed with bars but you can find a handful of cafes and resorts where you can grab a smoothie or Thai meal while enjoying the sea views. Some of the most popular places to eat are Pure Vegen Heaven, Koh Raham and Srithanu Kitchen.

What To Bring To Srithanu Beach?
You don’t need much but definitely bring your swimming costume, sun cream and of course you'll need a good Microfibre Towel which is lightweight and compact, perfect for travelling. They also come with a small zip pocket in the corner of the towel to keep valuables safe from the sand, and we make sure to keep our phones in these Waterproof Phone Cases.
