Where Is Paliton Beach Siquijor?
Paliton beach can be found on the north west coast of Siquijor island, a short drive north from the main hub of San Juan which is the best place to stay on the island. If you're coming from the ferry port, the drive takes around 30 minutes. Just a few minutes down one of the many turnings off of the main island ring road will bring you straight down to the beach.
How To Get To Paliton Beach Siquijor?
If you're hiring a scooter on the island it will be super easy for you to find, follow the ring road round and you'll see a sign for the beach which is a short way down the road.
If you don't have a scooter you'll have to walk (in the heat this might be too far) or hire a trike. Plenty of trikes are available however the cost of these add up over your stay.
How Much Does Paliton Beach Cost?
When you arrive you need to pay an entrance fee of ₱20 per person which is paid on the entrance road. Park up (you'll see all the other scooters) and you've made it! But this isn't the end of our guide. Read on so you can find the best spot to chill out, swim and watch the sunset.
Paliton Beach Siquijor
The first area by the parking is full of beach cafes serving cold drinks and food. This stretch of beach is great if you want to grab a snack or a coconut but it can get crowded. So where to head? Read below…
Find your dream hotel with Booking.com. Discover a range of hotels at great prices.
If you head past the parking either through the tree or scramble over the rocks you'll come to the largest stretch of Paliton beach. A stretch of white sand with enough room for everyone, here you can swim in the crystal waters and relax.
For sunset we found a secluded cove in between the two sections described above. We were the only people there and watched the sunset completely alone. These are some of the best sunsets we've ever seen so grab a cold drink and settle in for mother nature's evening show.
The snorkelling here doesn't have a patch on Moalboal or Apo Island so we don't recommend hiring snorkels, just enjoy the shallow waters and soak up the sun as this beach is for relaxing.
Please note however there is a lot rubbish by the parking area which is such a shame in such a beautiful place. We think it's important to share this as often people turn up and are disappointed due to the litter surrounding the area. Unfortunately this is all too common in South East Asia!
What To Bring To Paliton Beach?
One of the main attractions of Paliton is the silky smooth sand however the Philippines coast is known for its Sea Urchins, we recommend bringing a good pair of Water Shoes if you plan to venture past the shallows.
Of course you'll need a good Microfibre Towel which is lightweight and compact, perfect for travelling. They also come with a small zip pocket in the corner of the towel to keep valuables safe from the sand, and we make sure to keep our phones in these Waterproof Phone Cases.

Sunset At Paliton Beach
The Philippines is home to some of the best sunsets in the world and the island of Siquijor is one of the best places for it. The surrounding island of Negros in the distance create dramatic colours that can't be described; sit back, relax, grab a drink and enjoy.
What's Nearby Paliton Beach Siquijor?
Luckily Siquijor is a small island and nothing is too far on a scooter. If you fancy grabbing dinner after the sunset we recommend heading to Roadside Diner, a local restaurant serving fresh chicken and pork straight off the BBQ. They have the best BBQ chicken we could find and the Thai green curry is also worth a try - we ate here 4 times during our stay in San Juan.

Top Things To Do On Siquijor
We stayed 5 nights on Siquijor and think this is the perfect amount of time to see everything the island has to offer. Here’s our highlights.
Top Pick: Cambugahay Falls
Visit early or don’t bother going, this is our top pick as it was so tranquil at 8am plus we saw an iguana!
Best Beach: Salagdoong Beach
An adventure beach with cliff jumps, snorkelling and crystal waters. Although a little drive away, we think it’s worth it.
Off The Beaten Track: Cantabon Cave
Our favourite cave tour of the Philippines and still a hidden gem on the island.

Top Tips For Travelling The Philippines
If you’re visiting the Philippines here are our top travel tips:
Book flights in advance - they can become expensive if you leave it last minute… oh and check your luggage allowance to skip expensive check in fees at the airport. Don't forget your Apple Airtags to track your bags
Agree on taxi prices upfront - when getting into a tuk-tuk, tricycle or taxi, make sure you agree on a price or they have a meter, so many tourists get ripped off with a huge price tag at the end of the ride.
Take it slow - don't feel the need to see all the islands, we recommend picking a few and doing them properly. See the island in full, find some locals and sing Karaoke..
Embrace the chaos and get stuck in, the locals are friendly and love to help and share information about their home!

Final Thoughts On Paliton Beach
This is a great beach hub for San Juan in Siquijor. You get the white sand beaches, turquoise water and a glimpse into local life. We recommend heading down to Paliton beach but also go and explore what else the island has to offer such as Salagdoong Beach.
