How To Get From Cebu To Siquijor Options

Direct Ferry: Simplest Route From Cebu To Siquijor
By far the simplest and most direct option is the ferry from Cebu City to Siquijor. The most reliable operator is the Oceanjet ferry which takes 4-5 hours, which currently runs once a day.
Alternatively, if you’re on a budget Lite Shipping also runs once a day however it takes 10 hours and arrives to Siquijor Port at 23:00 which isn’t ideal.
The direct ferry is a great option if you’re near Cebu City and need to get to Siquijor, however if you get seasick or you’re already located further south in Cebu it will probably make more sense to head south via bus. Read on to find out the other options to get from Cebu to Siquijor.
Fly via Dumaguete: Fastest Route From Cebu To Siquijor
The quickest way to get from Cebu City to Siquijor is to take a flight to Dumaguete and then get a connecting ferry from Dumaguete to Siquijor. Depending on the flight costs, this option can be expensive, especially if you’re booking seats last minute, however it involves the least amount of time on ferries meaning it can be a good option if you get seasick.

South Cebu via Dumaguete: Cheapest Route From Cebu To Siquijor
The most budget-friendly option, favoured by backpackers, is to travel overland to southern Cebu by bus or private taxi before taking two smaller ferries to Siquijor. This is the same route we took from Moalboal to Siquijor and the same applies from anywhere on Cebu. If you’re traveling in a group or family then it makes sense to get a private taxi to the Port of Liloan. The steps are as follows:
Bus or Private taxi to Liloan Port
Ferry to Sibulan Port (30 mins, ₱130)
Tricycle to Dumaguete Port (20 mins, ₱75)

As mentioned above, the optimal route to get from Moalboal to Siquijor is via the south of Cebu and getting ferries via Dumaguete. The same also applies to Oslob, you’re already near Liloan Port and therefore there is no point in going north to Cebu City to catch the direct ferry to Siquijor.
