How To Get To Port Barton And The Best Beaches?

The Caribbean-like town of Port Barton revolves around Itaytay Beach, this is the hub for most bars & restaurants making it the perfect place to go for sunset. The beach was pretty quiet all day when we visited in peak season due to most people being on one of the Island Hopping Tours in the day, meaning you can relax on the sand in peace, go for a swim in the shallows and find some shade. Port Barton Bistro was a lovely restaurant along the front with beanbags, great pizza, Starlink WiFi and popcorn, what more could you want!  Location 📌

Port Barton Beach

Naonao Beach

For an off the beaten track adventure, Naonao beach has got you covered. The rough and rocky roads leading to the beach mean it’s not easily accessible so not many people make the journey, however, those who do are rewarded with one of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see. Perfect white sand, no-one else in sight, a vibrant blue ocean and lush green jungle in the backdrop, beaches really don’t get much better than this. However be warned about the bad access road! Location 📌

The best beach in Port Barton and one of the best in Palawan! A perfect quiet spot with calm and clear water, similar to swimming in a pool. You can rent a scooter & drive for 15 minutes (off road), hire a trike or get one of the local boats to take you from Port Barton Beach, it’s well worth the journey.  Location 📌

Swing off tree at port barton beach

Paradise island was the lunch spot on our boat tour and our favourite spot, you can hike to the peak of the island to get panoramic views over two islands as well as exploring a hidden beach. We also watched locals climb the bendy palm trees to retrieve refreshing coconuts and bathed in the shallow waters. Location 📌

Paradise Island Port Barton

Pamuayan Beach

This is possibly the most underrated beach in Port Barton, with crystal clear calm water and no jellyfish (unlike Itaytay and White/Coconut Beaches). You’ll find plenty of starfish in the shallows and there’s even some snorkelling down the northern end of the beach near the mangrove forest. Pamuayan Beach is lined with bent palm trees leaning into the ocean along the shoreline, making it a perfect photo spot. Location 📌

A little further along the coast from White Beach is Coconut Beach, another stunning white sand, palm tree lined paradise. The water is so calm and clear with very friendly locals selling fresh coconuts. Park up at White Beach, walk down to the end and you should come out to Coconut Beach, if you are going for a swim make sure to ask the locals about the jellyfish. Location 📌

Penanindigan Beach

This is a beach for those who have a longer time in Port Barton and want to explore further afield, as it’s quite a drive from Port Barton Beach. Set in the coastal town of Roxas, this golden sand beach is a hidden gem that not many tourists go to. The beach has a variety of restaurant options nearby to grab some lunch, and is a close walking distance from exploring the Roxas landmarks making for an interesting day out.  Location 📌
